Trophy Design

I got a task to design a trophy for yearly event for Sustainability Achievement Awards for 2024. I wanted the trophy to reflect the ability to achieve great visual impact with something that might not necessarily be considerate good looking. I start to research agencies and organisations that we can team up with and create something nice from recycled materials. I peached three different concepts to EcoVadis. All concepts were based on different materials and organisations that we would collaborate. At the end we decided on Precious Plastic. I never worked with them before but i was super excited.

I reached out to PP. Needed figure out restrictions, and possibilities that we would have. We needed 8 trophies ideally identical or similar. I got an info about possible technics and how we can use recycled plastic. We decided that the sheet of plastic needs to have some green elements but it still needs to be bright and fun.

We agreed to try create something special for EcoVadis with different types and colours of recycled plastic. Sheet can be predominantly white (as we couldn’t achieve transparency with recycled materials that Precious plastic had available) with some colourful spots, specially green as it is ecovadis colour. On a call i found out also that we can use reclaimed wood and incorporate it in to my design. We can engrave it to and plastic can be shaped with laser cut. I started to draw different shapes and options. We agreed that the trophy needs to have some kind of element that will make it recognisable, something that will give the hint of ecovadis. I knew I wanted to use ecovadis”v” but wasn’t sure how.

For advertisement and stage teaser i designed 3d shapes in Adobe Dimention. Random shapes represents plastic that trophy was made from.
